Sing song of our home these days:

"Bwownie fo' me

Bwownie fo' my mum

But not Val -a- tee- no

'cause it all come out his bum"

Sorry - - had to share - - this is what Benjamin has been singing for a week LOL!! We're trying to teach the kids no people food for the dog, especially chocolate, as it will make him very sick. so now, Benjamin sings this all the time, with the cutest little sing-song voice, and it makes us crack up laughing every time!

Little threesome

Well, we've been home on our own, without our Papa Bear since last week. 6 days. And do we miss him. I haven't been in the scrappiest frame of mind, so the only crafty things I've done are my must do's - the swaps that I had signed up for that were coming due. But tomorrow, Benjamin and I are staying home all day and I'll be {hopefully!} in the zone! Nothing else going on, so a page or two should be able to happen. Hubby is still working away in Canada. He's cold, and doing the same as we are, shopping away the missing us feeling. We have some wonderful Olympic Roots Team Canada clothes coming that I can't wait to see. Of course, some Kraft Peanut Butter too! (and some smarties - have to show Bridgette what Canadian smarties are; the US Smarties are something entirely different.) I'm thinking a lovely tea or hot chocolate will do just fine about now, along with a new episode of Lost! Something scrappy this way comes, very soon, promise!

Jumped on the 365 bus!

Well, I've done it! I've jumped onto the 365 bus! I'm doing it in a different way though than some. If you've heard of or seen the Project Life by Becky Higgins, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Committment is to take one photo each day, and add it to an album, you know, the ones with the divided pages, and use one or two slots in every 6-slot page for your journalling. Simple right? Essentially yes... but make sure to keep up, or you can be in for trouble! I'm up to date with my pics, but have to journal for two days. Not bad. Will do that tonight. But it's a fun adventure, and the kids love it!

Shimmerz Paints!

Just heard about these today, and they look gorgeous! Lots of shine and glimmer to your projects. Can't wait to give these a try!! Check out their site at http://shimmerzpaints.blogspot.com/

SNOW

So it snowed in Texas. Yes it certainly did! Enough that the schools let the kids out early, and many offices closed early for the day, due to the worrisome 'deteriorating conditions.' I don't know about anything bad but the kids had an absolute blast with it. I had to teach Benjamin how to make a snowball, and a fifteen year old how to roll a ball to make a snowman. And I always thought this is something you are just born knowing, but I guess not. It truly is a different world here. I did get to crack a couple of my neighbors with snowballs, and that was totally fun. My friend Evelyn (who is always so careful opening the door when you ring the doorbell) opened the door, saw it was me, threw it open to give me a hug, and was welcomed with a big snowball up her sweater in the back. LOL!!! She did a silly, goofy dance, and it was so much fun. She was a big part in helping build the snowman. It was a wonderful day (Dec 4/09) and I can imagine it will be quite some time before our part of Texas gets a snow like that again. What a treat! Pictures to come!

Saying hey

It's been so long since I've posted anything! I had to laugh, as the last two cards posted I just gave out - one to a cyber friend, and one as a birthday card for a girlfriend. I haven't made cards for some time - think I'll have to get into the groove soon. Especially with Christmas coming - it's just around the corner!

I've been sick for the last few days. Not to give all the details, but I would not be a tiny bit surprised if this is what Swine flu is. I can only hope I'm on the downward slide of it.

Kids are good, hubby's good. Nicholas is loving Kindergarten and his newfound enlarged world. Benjamin enjoys having Nicholas room to himself during the day LOL!! And when I'm not sick, I usually get a little scrapping done.

Thomas will be here in less than a month, and we're all very excited. I hope he remembers to bring his pictures from his Europe trip with Haley.

So, it's supper time, and I should quickly vaccuum in between cookie sheets being timed. That way when hubby gets home, it looks like I did something :)
